Parkfields Country House

Special Occasions & House Parties

Love the idea of holding a house party but daunted by what to do?

Here are a few suggestions of most enjoyed events from past guests..

Picture of a lake Food on your mind? Parkfields is the ideal place to treat your taste buds. Guests love our seven-course gourmet dinner from locally sourced fresh produce. Why not treat your guests to a Champagne tasting with canapes or a Cider and Perry tasting before dinner? This autumn visit a food festival to sample quality "slow" food from quality local producers. Herefordshire is "Cider County" with several renowned presses within half an hour of the house. Tours can be arranged by prior arrangement.

Feeling keen? We'll provide you with a cycling touring map.. and a bike!

Challenge yourself..

With family cycling on the trails or climbing and abseiling at Symonds Yat. Children will love throwing and decorating a pot at a local pottery and of course there's always a touch of retail therapy to be slotted in! You'll be delighted by the local market towns as Cheltenham's designer outlets in Montpelier.

Itching to Explore?

Picture of people in a canoe on a riverBy foot, balloon or open canoe! Parkfields Country House is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty with the Wye Valley & the Forest of Dean right on the doorstep. You can climb Skirrid and admire the Welsh hills - a Parkfields packed lunch will be essential. Alternatively canoe down the Wye from Ross to Monmouth and stop for essential refreshments at riverside inns. Historical and magical border castles abound - a real favourite is White castle.
